Ashland High School is seeking a Middle School Softball Head Coach beginning with the spring season of the 2025-26 school year.

 

Ashland’s coaches are actively engaged in the community, and embrace both the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District. 

 

The role of the Middle School Softball Coach is to be responsible for coaching, character development and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in softball. 

 

 

This job requires you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community and well as follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements.

 

This position reports to the Athletic Director.

 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 
• Available to practice after school, weekends and evenings 
• Technologically-savvy with a history of program development 
• CPR/First Aid Certified Preferred
