2024 SPECIAL EDUCATION

 

EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) PROGRAM (ALL LEVELS)

 

Nurse (Certification Required)

 

Ashland Public Schools is seeking a dynamic Nurse with previous experience to support our special education summer program.

 

Dates/Times: 5 weeks: July 8, 2024 through August 8, 2024 (Building times will vary slightly: Mondays 4 hours with students, Tuesday through Thursday 3.5 hours with students and equivalent preparation times per day; for every 3 hours worked an additional 1 hour of preparation time is given/paid for). 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

• Implementation of students individualized health care plans as developed by staff school nurses 
• Providing episodic care to all students Responds to students’ and staff health needs 
• Documentation of  student/staff encounters 
• Communications with parents, faculty and medical providers as needed 
• Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act, the guidelines of care established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), and works in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Ashland Public Schools.

 

Anticipated Salary:

 

(The number of positions needed is contingent upon student enrollment; positions will be given to those with certification)

 

$42 per hour for Nurse
